About Heidi
My bodywork career started as a young girl, always enjoying the challenge of moving my body to learn new skills. I became a gymnast in high school and college and then graduated from college with a BFA in Dance. After graduation, I moved to San Francisco to study Contact Improvisation, a movement form I was passionate about.
Starting in 1985, I have practiced massage in many settings with different focuses; private practice, spas, Doctor of sport medicine, and along the side of Physical Therapists. I have taught massage students hands on anatomy and kinesiology in a Community College setting. In 2005, I completed my 534 hour Ortho-Bionomy training through Ursula Hofer and Christina Montes de Oca at New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, in Santa Fe, NM. I am registered with the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International® (SOBI). I am currently receiving Craniosacral training with Etienne Peirsman at New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. I also bring my experience with Hanna Somatics, Tai Chi, psychotherapy and meditation to my work.
